USB Audio Interface vs Mixer
The age old question of how does a usb audio interface vs mixer compare? Mostly, when looking at the lower end of the price range is it will all come down to quality. But there is one key difference too.
A USB Audio Interface will record all available inputs as a track each. That is, one input per track as a separate track within your digital audio workstation. This is different to a mixer as that is designed to mix all signals together on one board, and then output them as a channel (or more than one channel).
Essentially, you can do an audio interfaces job on a mixer, but your options will be limited when it comes to recording individual tracks.
